Let’s be proud of the Lithuanian language, promote it and write the dictation together! Already on 28 February, Friday, at 11:00.
“Our unique language distinguishes Lithuanians from other nations. This language was the forbidden fruit of the occupation period, which represents our national identity most vividly. Let’s write and foster our language, and, most importantly, let’s enjoy our uniqueness”, Lukas Radžiūnas, Director of the Vilniaus Prekybos Support Fund DABAR.
Traditionally, it will be possible to write the dictation in schools, libraries, municipal halls. Representatives of enterprises and organisations are also invited to join the dictation – they can write it in their own premises. Lithuanian communities abroad will receive the record of the dictation and will be able to write at the time convenient to them on 28 February – 1 March.
Stages of the 2020 competition:
Round I – 28 February 2020, 11:00; broadcast by LRT radio and online
The final and the award of winners – 23 May 2020, at 11:00
The dictation text will be announced on 2 May on the websites: www.diktantas.lt and www.vlkk.lt
