Edita Maslauskaitė was appointed as the director of “Vilniaus prekyba” support fund “DABAR”, replacing the previous director Evelina Černienė. E. Černienė stays on the Fund’s board. E. Maslauskaitė will also act as the head of corporate relations and communication of “Vilniaus prekyba”.

“I am glad that Edita is joining the team and is bringing her knowledge and experience to make the team stronger. She perfectly understands the challenges we face in order to support projects and programmes that are important to society and that will bring about long-term positive changes upon implementation,” says the chair of the Fund’s board Mantas Kuncaitis.

“I am proud to contribute to the implementation of the Fund’s long-term goals and to the strengthening of philanthropic culture in Lithuania. I have worked in the non-governmental sector for more than twenty years and I know very well how much can be achieved if the forces of private philanthropists and public organisations are combined in areas that are important to society,” says Edita Maslauskaitė.

The strategic support directions of “Vilniaus prekyba” support fund “DABAR” are to provide support to science, culture, education, art, religion, sports, healthcare, social care and welfare, integration and support of persons with disabilities, environmental protection and to other areas that are important to society.

Edita, before starting to work in “Vilniaus prekyba” support fund “DABAR”, worked as the Vice-President of the Lithuanian Free Market Institute for 14 years. She was responsible for the internal processes and development of the organisation. Among the many activities implemented by her is the international project “Intellectual Entrepreneurship”, during which competences of newly established European organisations were created and strengthened.
